Non-Muslims accept Islam, but not Hadi’s hudud

YOURSAY ‘Indeed, lots of non-Muslims accept Islamic philosophies, politics and economics.’

If you can accept communism, why not Islam? Hadi asks non-Muslims

Quigonbond: PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, there is also a sea of difference between not accepting hudud and not accepting Islam.

One has to accept the reality that our federal constitution is secular. And it should remain so for as long as East Malaysian parties, DAP, PKR and Amanah MPs controls more than one-third of the Parliament, i.e. our constitution is not changing anytime soon whether Umno and PAS are working together or otherwise.

In addition, hudud does not a clean government maketh. Evidence is hard to establish. Punishment is barbaric for this age. Leaders with integrity don't need to wear their religion on their sleeves.

Pahatian: Hadi, communism is an ideology while Islam is a religion. Look at those Islamic countries in the world today. Are they economically advanced? Are they peaceful? Have they done good for the people and humanity?

All they think about is how to punish people, how to tell people what to do and what not to do and to have four wives. No, thank you. Leave us alone.

Visu: First, show us that you are honorable and keep to your commitment like when you went into an agreement with Pakatan Rakyat on the hudud issue.

The communists are still better as the many Malay, Chinese and Indian communists knew how to be honourable, instead of being deceitful.

Further there isn't a single Muslim country that would pass the test of being an attractive place to live.

All the world's refugees caught up in conflict such as in Syria are ready to sacrifice life and limb to be in Germany, Sweden, Norway, United States, Australia and Britain. Why not UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain or even Malaysia?

Gunnerrun: PAS shall never rule the country. They are behind the times, are self-centred and crave for unison with people of their own kind, of the same religion. Infidels are marginal people, they can be sacrificed at any time.

To PAS, punishments of the most ancient kind are considered still applicable to our society such as the chopping of hands, stoning, mutilation of genitals, etc.

PAS under Nik Aziz Nik Mat and Fadzil Noor was a different soul and embodiment. This is not the PAS we knew.

Hplooi: In reality, PAS theocracy is not much different from communism. The key feature is a select group (a priesthood as author Kassim Ahmad puts it) who determines morality and governance and brooks no dissent to their 'authority'.

This is exactly the same system in communism. If PAS ever come to power with the kind of ideology they currently embraces, I will strongly consider getting out of this country.

BernieBaby: Religion is the opium of the masses. That's what Karl Marx once said. He's right, see what is happening in the Middle East. Why are Muslim refugees running to secular Germany? Understand that first, Hadi.

Anonymous_3e86: We can accept Islam, but not Hadi's brand of Islam. Hadi's brand of Islam breeds extremism.

Anonymous 2305141436452229: Indeed, lots of non-Muslims accept Islamic philosophies, politics and economics.

In fact, most of the progressive world appreciates the contribution Islam has brought to the world. Islamic banking for instance has also been widely accepted all over the world.

What we cannot accept is Hadi’s brand of hypocrisy and bigotry.

Tuan Ibrahim: Najib should comment on WSJ, not red shirt rally

www.malaysiakini.com/news/312815

Doc: I agree with PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man. PM Najib Razak is quick to praise the red shirt rally for defending the dignity of the Malays which they claim is under attack by the Chinese.

Now that The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has yet again made another allegation of corruption and nepotism against him, he is yet again silent as a mouse. This just further confirms that he is truly a ineffective leader.

CQ Muar: No doubt about it. Najib is so overwhelmed and consumed by all those scandals and the exposures made by WSJ, that he has become delirious and desperate.

He is obviously doing everything under the sun to divert the urgent issues at hand such as the billions he has allegedly pilfered. Instead he hopes to influence his audience by talking about other irrelevant matters.

How unfortunate that a person of his standing and stature has degenerated to such a low level. What shame has this man, who once stood on international stages addressing renowned audience and VIPs?

Apa Ini?: If there's one worthy guy around in PAS, Tuan Ibrahim is it! Well said. Follow the money and find it. Get an international independent panel to give a verdict on those claims.

They're not going to believe DAP leader Tony Pua or you and they'll deny, deny, and deny the truth because that's how guilty people behave.

Wing Chun: How come the PAS president is not commenting on this at all? There are many conclusions one can draw from this. I love Tuan Ibrahim.
