Gobal Movement for Moderates CEO Saifuddin Abdullah has urged the Umno leadership to issue a statement on the burning of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and his father Lim Kit Siang's effigies in Kota Bahru Kelantan.

Saifuddin said there was a difference between the act of strangers who stomped on the photos of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang during the Bersih 4 rally and those from the effigy-burning group which seemed to be well-organised.
