British Prime Minister David Cameron and the country's high commission are being dragged into the ongoing 1MDB squabble.
Sarawak Report editor Claire Rewcastle-Brown, the sister-in-law of Cameron's predecessor Gordon Brown, wants the British prime minister to raise the blocking of her website when he meets his Malaysian counterpart next week.
Cameron ( photo ) is scheduled to arrive in Kuala Lumpur on July 30, during which he will meet Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to discuss bilateral ties.
Tomorrow, pro-BN NGOs, including the Ramesh Rao-led Pertubuhan Minda dan Sosial Prihatin (PMSP), are to submit a memorandum to the British High Commission.
The memorandum wants Rewcastle-Brown to keep out of Malaysian politics.
Previously, Ramesh said Malaysians should not be fooled by "unreliable information" disseminated by foreigners.
"We have been ruled by foreigners in the past. Do not let history repeat.
"We, the people of Malaysia must defend our sovereignty for political stability, unity and racial integration," he had said.
Ramesh ( photo ) had also filed a police report on a video confession by former Sarawak journalist Lester Melanyi that Rewcastle-Brown and Malaysian opposition leaders fabricated documents pertaining to 1MDB.
Lester had implicated opposition MPs Rafizi Ramli and Tony Pua, both of whom denied the allegation.
Rewcastle-Brown also dismissed the allegation and the claim that Lester had worked for Sarawak Report .
In a recent interview with British newspaper The Independent , the Sarawak Report editor also accused Malaysian authorities of "intimidation and bullying tactics".
"I'm afraid these sorts of intimidating and bullying tactics are not going to work.
"The Malaysian authorities are trying to intimidate me but all they are succeeding in doing is drawing more attention to the very story they are trying to shut down.
"I would expect Mr Cameron to raise this issue when he meets Mr (Najib) Razak," Rewcastle-Brown is quoted as saying.
