The special task force on 1MDB will determine the authenticity of the documents and other materials related to 1MDB received from The Edge Media Group yesterday, a police source said today.
“The report on the outcome of the investigation will be submitted to the attorney-general,” the source said.
Yesterday, The Edge handed over documents, printed copies of email and hard discs on 1MDB in its possession to the Commercial Crime Investigations Department in Bukit Aman.
On Monday, The Edge Financial Daily published a four-page article focusing on the joint venture between 1MDB and PetroSaudi International.
1MDB, in a statement yesterday, slammed the financial daily, saying the allegations in the report were “baseless and recycled”.
