Abdul Rahman Dahlan has once again called on the DAP leadership to deny if its lawmaker Tony Pua met former PetroSaudi International executive Xavier Andre Justo in Singapore.
He said DAP should do this instead of daring BN ministers to make a public accusation against Pua, who is one of the most vocal critics against 1MDB.
"That is why, the big question is, will the DAP leadership, including (DAP parliamentary leader) Lim Kit Siang want to come forward and admit that Pua was not involved whatsoever, either in communicating or meeting or instructing anyone to contact Justo?
"The technical question of whether (Pua) met (Justo) or not is immaterial. For that, let the police decide later," said the urban well-being, housing and local government minister.
Similarly, Works Minister Fadillah Yusof also called on Pua ( photo ) to "make a clear statement on his dealings with Justo".
Joining the bandwagon, Umno MP Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali said challenging BN to accuse Pua was not 'anak jantan' (manly).
On the contrary, he argued it is Pua who should accept the dare to issue a denial.
"Tony, if you are an 'anak jantan', deny the opposition's role in this dirty job. If you have the guts, deny it as soon as possible," he was reported as saying.
Justo, who is under investigation by Thai police for allegedly blackmailing PetroSaudi, claimed to have met people in Singapore, including Malaysian opposition leaders, to negotiate the handing over of certain documents in his possession.
Lowest IQ amongst ministers
Commenting on Abdul Rahman's call, Lim ( photo ) questioned if the minister is a 'world beater' in having the lowest IQ for ministers.
"I am completely befuddled. I thought Pua could not be clearer when he answered Abdul Rahman who asked the first time early this month whether the DAP MP had met Justo.
"I did a Google search to re-read Pua's reply to Abdul Rahman, which was a Malaysiakini report dated July 2, 2015, entitled : 'I've no clue who Justo is, says Pua'.
"Can we have a Minister who does not have the IQ to understand what Pua answered in the Malaysiakini report?" he asked.
Lim said having the world's lowest IQ for a Cabinet Minister is bad enough, but it would appear this is not the only failing of Abdul Rahman.
He noted how the minister had referred to veteran journalist Lester Melanyi as a "scum".
"But perhaps being perceived as a scum was precisely the reason why Claire Brown and Sarawak Report chose and hired him to incessantly demonise Sarawak leaders for years and now Dato Sri Najib Razak. After all, it takes a scum to know another scum," he quoted the minister as saying.
Lester, in a recent video confession, claimed he was a former editor with Sarawak Report and was asked fabricate documents pertaining to 1MDB. He also implicated Pua and other opposition leaders.
However, Sarawak Report editor-in-chief Claire Rewcastle Brown denied that Lester worked for her and claimed that BN used a tampered email to argue its case.
