S'wak Report editor: 'Forging docs' email tampered
Odysseus: This is getting more interesting. Instead of nailing whistleblower website Sarawak Report for false reporting about 1MDB, Umno is trying to discredit Sarawak Report.
To the intelligent people of Malaysia, we can see the tricks Umno is trying to play to hoodwink the public.
Maplesyrup: Umno is unable to counter Sarawak Report with the truth, hence it has to cast doubts on Sarawak Report in order to pull the wool over the people's eyes and to lay a good basis for the task 'farce' to come up with a ‘not guilty’ verdict, perhaps?
Homesick: First and foremost, if the documents on 1MDB were tampered with or forged, then produce them for the whole world to see and sue Sarawak Report . Editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown had repeatedly challenged BN to sue her.
Secondly, whether the information is forged or not, Malaysians would like to know where the RM42 billion went, period!
Negarawan: It is quite obvious that the email was edited or quoted out of context by Umno. This only further discredits Umno in the eyes of the international financial community.
Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Abdul Rahman Dahlan's integrity is down the drain.
Justice Pao: Just as Rewcastle rebutted the video by showing her actual email, Prime Minister Najib Razak, 1MDB and the companies associated with this scandal could do the same by showing evidence that is contrary to what was claimed by Sarawak Report .
Anonymous_1430119660: Well done, Rewcastle, but you have to be very careful in dealing with all and sundry as these individuals have a price tag for their "integrity".
As we all know too well, we have legislators who can "jump" so high that they can cause a rupture in a democratically elected state government.
Transformasi: After watching the video, it appears that poor Lester Melanyi is reading from a script written by one of Umno spin doctors.
Vijay47: I cannot at all claim to hold a candle to Rewcastle's abilities and dedication, but at least insofar as the "forgery" sentence is concerned, it is a style I have adopted numerous times in my Malaysiakini comments, to lend emphasis to the tongue-in-cheek approach.
In her case, Rewcastle at least put the word "forging" in inverted commas, a precaution I generally and unwisely sometimes choose to disregard, often earning criticism from those who misunderstand me.
Meanwhile, back to the chase, this latest pitiful shell-game by Umno merely reveals that they assume the world to be populated only by those of the same intelligence as their faithful cybertroopers.
By the way, doesn't this remind you of our Solomon of an inspector-general of police (IGP) who once concluded that Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua's "Royalty, my foot" comment was an attack on the sultans?
That's the trouble we get when we appoint guys who can't even make it through Primary 6 'england'.
Nasib Nazak: Remove the inverted commas and a paragraph, and voila, there you have it: a BN-style kampung spin for the noobs.
This process of cooking information parallels Pua's new revelation on 1MDB's financial statements and CAGM's (Citizens for Accountable Governance Malaysia’s) fraudulent SD (statutory declaration).
AkuMelayu-Tetapi ABU Jugak : This is how Umno and their overpaid 'con'-sultants plan to challenge the rakyat's hold on social media - with lies and more lies?
All for the benefit of the kampung folks, like the thief who was caught and now claims he was sold an imitation phone.
Pat88: Don't worry Rewcastle, intelligent people know that you tell the truth. They appreciate your hard work and your commitment to fight the corruption.
Gunnerrun: These are the sorriest bunch of tartheads in the history of world politics. Clutching at a straw trying to con the rural folks with all these exposes, which will be picked up by the mainstream media.
And knowing too well, these folks will still believe and back these losers election after election, after all the kampung folks form a big chunk of the number of voters and are perhaps the least exposed to the alternative media because of lack of access.
This is how BN intends to stay in power and how they have been able to for so many years.
Speaking Sense: Indeed, Abdul Rahman Dahlan forgets he is not dealing with the good but naive folks at Kota Belud.
This is the big city now, so don't waste our time with simpleton conspiracy theories.
