Former Dungun Member of Parliament Matulidi Jusoh, 58, passed away at his residence in Taman Alur Jejawi, near Dungun early today.

The late Matulidi, who suffered from diabetes-related complications, died at about 6am.

According to his son, Mohd Nazir, 26, he collapsed in the bathroom while taking ablution water to perform the Subuh prayer.

Matulidi served as Dungun Member of Parliament from 2008 until 2013.

Present to pay his last respects was Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.

The remains were to be buried at the Syed Yahaya Muslim cemetery in Dungun after Friday prayers.
