YOURSAY ‘What is M’sian politics if Islam is not perpetually threatened?’
Group backs ex-CJ's 'Islam threatened' claim
Tholu: Penang Malay Congress president Rahmad Isahak, who is babbling like a clown?
You have joined ex-CJ Abdul Hamid Mohamad in talking nonsense since both of you have not responded to Penang executive councillor in charge of Islamic affairs Abdul Malik Kassim’s challenge to prove your allegations with facts and figures. Instead, you have deviated into other unrelated issues.
Your noisy but empty retorts only show your stupidity. You, too, are a "tin kosong (empty vessel)”. Don't just scream and shout. Come up with facts to prove Abdul Malik's arguments are wrong and invalid.
I wonder how the Penang Malay Congress is going to progress when they have nincompoops like you as president.
P Dev Anand Pillai: It is a pity that judges post-1988 are not of the quality that they were when they enjoyed judicial independence.
Today, we have appointees who perhaps even kiss the hand of the head of the executive so that they are seen as 'good and compliant' judges.
And now we have judges who are suddenly politicians overnight as soon as they leave the bench.
All said, what is Malaysian politics if not for the daily bashing of the non-Malays? And what is Malaysian politics if Islam is not under perpetual threat?
Malaccan: It is disgusting for Rahmad and Abdul Hamid to accuse others for their own failings.
Abdul Hamid unbelievably claims his race and religion are belittled while anyone in Malaysia knows the opposite is closer to the truth. Hamid is raining ridicule on his own community with his lies. Perhaps Hamid's plan is to invite that very reaction.
Meanwhile Rahmad tells others not to babble, by doing exactly that. Rahmad doesn't try to support Hamid with details but focuses on other issues to rescue Hamid in his latest attempt to rile up people.
But Malik's facts and figures exposes Hamid as a dangerous trouble-making liar.
It is shameful for a man of Hamid's age, who gave up enduring honour and respect to chase after temporary attention. How can Hamid be believed to defend his religion when he promotes racism which is abhorred by Islam?
ACR: Why should affordable homes be built along racial lines? What rubbish is Rahmad suggesting?
Anonymous #03815719: Don't talk about affordable houses if BN under Gerakan from 1970 to 2008 had built affordable houses for the Malays, they will not be without houses today.
Odysseus: Rahmad speaks as if he was the ex-mufti quoted by the ex-CJ. He should bring the ex-mufti to speak for himself. Otherwise, he is only making the issue murkier by adding race to a religious issue.
What has religious issue got to do with housing for Malays. Isn't the housing problem a problem for all?
CucuMalaysia; Politics in Malaysia has turned become baseless accusations against minorities using Islam and Malays. One who truly practises Islam will realise that Islam, like all other religions, teaches good not bad.
People who are overcome by greed for power, money, fame, and material comforts through easy means, feel that the whole world owe them everything.
Dr Jacob George: Any judge of stature, substance, dignity, decorum and basic intelligence would know that hearsay evidence cannot be used as a yardstick to spur statements, sadly, in a discourse at a religious gathering during a month of special significance.
An injustice of many dimensions - and now spurred on by another 'tin kosong', racist, fanatical and political renegade on a mission of revenge.
Tan Kim Keong: Rahmad should stop aping his political elders in making statements without any facts to substantiate them.
In doing so it just lends credence to the perception that he and his category of politicians are of vacuous minds.
Malik has provided facts on the allocation. So Rahmad is being a clown instead.
Anonymous Cat: It is not Islam under threat. It is Umno. Scared to lose more in the elections, so they now use religion as a tool to gain political support.
Proud Malaysian: Locally, are the Rahmad and Abdul Hamid and their likes, are trying to use the Israeli method of creating an invisible enemy for Islam.
Just like it is practically impossible for Palestinians who have nothing and are living in a blockaded "concentration camp" called Gaza, to pose any threat at all to Israel, it is also practically impossible for other Malaysians to pose a threat to Islam when all institutional powers ,including the army and police are mainly concentrated in the hands of the Muslims.
I am sure Rahmad and Abdul Hamid, etc, condemn Israel which justifies their atrocities against the Palestinians by creating an invisible enemy.
If you are doing likewise in Malaysia, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for practising double standards.
