Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak did not talk to his wife Rosmah Mansor for three days after Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crashed last Thursday.
He was too engrossed in dealing with the crisis, which happened some four months after MAS flight MH370 vanished without a trace.
According to a Sin Chew Daily report, Rosmah revealed this during a Ramadan buka puasa event in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Najib's cousin and Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein was also present.
"He did not even talk to me when he walked past me," she said, and joked that there was nothing wrong with their marriage.
On the contrary, Rosmah said she was glad because her husband was so focused in his work with regard to the tragedy.
She quipped that since her personality was considered "aggressive" compared to Najib who is seen to be cool-headed, the latter sometimes preferred to talk to their daughter instead of Rosmah.
Speaking about the latest developments in the MH17 issue, Rosmah said she was surprised that the Russian-backed separatist in Ukraine were willing to hand over the black boxes to Malaysia.
"I was surprised that they would hand us the black boxed. They said the black boxes would not be given to others except Malaysia," she added.
