Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has identified four ministries to be investigated after its initial study of the Auditor-General's Report 2012, which was tabled today.
The new members of the PAC, who sat for the first time in the Parliament building today, will decide on the priority of the projects that they will investigate over the next three weeks.
PAC chairperson Nur Jazlan Mohamed (above) told a press conference after the meeting that the projects would involve "construction and procurement issues".
The committee will sit again on Oct 21, Nur Jazlan said.
Meanwhile, sources close to the committee said one of the four projects PAC will investigate is an "incomplete documents" discrepancy with the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).
The other projects are understood to be the landing system at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, an incinerator and a discrepancy on the procurement of Fire and Rescue Department equipment, which was described as "minor".
