BN is confident that it can wrest Selangor back from Pakatan Rakyat in the 13th general election, according to its state coordinator, Mohd Zin Mohamed.
"In my calculations and readings, Selangor BN can already form a government. What we are striving for is a two-thirds majority," he told a press conference today.
The coalition has also shortlisted four candidates who could fill the menteri besar’s post in the event of a victory, but Mohd Zin ( above ) would not name them.
The BN wants them to be free of pressure when contesting in the election, he explained.
"We are looking at a very competent and dynamic (candidate) who has the quality and experience to manage an organisation and an establishment," he said.
Mohd Zin said this when asked to state the criteria set in comparison with incumbent Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, who had been a prominent corporate figure before he entered politics.
