Singapore's High Court today rejected a last-ditch appeal by a convicted drug trafficker from Malaysia against the death penalty, but his family maintained he was innocent.

Vignes Mourthi, 22, from Perak, was sentenced to death after he gave 27.65 grams of heroin to an undercover police officer in September 2001, according to court documents.
