While the proposed mammoth incinerator plant in Broga, Semenyih, remains a burning issue, a draft terms of reference for a parallel project - a sanitary landfill - is being prepared for a detailed environmental impact assessment (EIA) study.
The Department of Environment (DOE) has called for public comments for the draft terms through an advertisement placed in the New Straits Times and Utusan Malaysia over the last three days.
The public can review the draft terms at the DOE library in Putrajaya; Selangor public libraries in Kajang and Shah Alam; Kompleks Penghulu Semenyih; Kajang Municipal Council; Semenyih police station and at all state DOE offices.
The period for public review is between June 4-18, and written comments must be sent to the DOE at the address as stated in the advertisement before June 25.
