The latest Auditor General's Report looks like a copy of the previous years. The abuse and misuse of public funds are all over the place and the same - year in and year out. The administration of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is a shame - he must come out publicly to say what he is going to do about the millions of ringgit squandered away from public coffers. He cannot afford to keep silent on these issues. It involves his credibility.

I only know how frustrating it is when one does an honest business, struggling as it were to make it work. Working within the confines of the law and paying the taxes that are due and then having the Inland Revenue Department come down to insist that your books 'are not in order'. They attempt to find any little flaw so as to fine you.

Never mind if they do this but when you hear of mismanagement of funds like those highlighted in the auditor-general's shameful report, you just want to throw up. Remove the NEP and you will find that the inflated prices swallowed by middlemen (ex-government servants and pseudo 'Datuks') will also soon disappear.

It is sickening to say the least and as long as this government continues to allow these middlemen, they will continue to feed on us like parasites.
