There is no better person with the moral authority to head a 'war crimes tribunal'. To be such a person, one must have the guts and would not care less whether or not he was in America's good books.

Mahathir ruled the country for 22 years and under his tenure, opposition parties flourished while Umno was declared unlawful by the courts. He developed the country's infrastructure and economy in line with his Vision 2020 to see what Malaysia could become.

As such, he is not a dictator. He was firm but fair as otherwise the country's development on many fronts would have been lopsided.
