LETTER | It is an open secret - going by the immense outpourings on social media, that the Budget 2021 is not going down well especially among non-bumiputera, non-Malay and non-Muslim communities nationwide.
In fact, the perception widely held is that this is a politically anchored budget that some say is truly a checkmate on the opposition political blocks.
If the opposition opposes the budget, it will earn them the wrath of the supporters and kingpins of BN, PAS, Perikatan Nasional and all those aligned to their marriage of convenience partnership.
Beneficiaries will likely think that the opposition bloc is anti-Malay, anti-bumiputera and anti-Muslim.
The worst is that some may scream 'biadab' (rude) for going against the Monarch's royal advice vis-a-vis the Budget 2021.
In this climate of grave unhappiness among the citizenry and the accompanying, extremely precarious economic future that does not discriminate along racial, religious or political profiling, perhaps Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) has been gifted with a unique advantage to champion for the marginalised lot.
Whether PSM will rise to be the White Knight in these deeply troubling times is yet to be seen.
