LETTER | The reputation of a so-called 'legal eagle' has crashed because of the impression given that he is arrogant. Or, indeed he truly is?

How could Najib Abdul Razak's defence lawyer demean the estate workers of this nation?

And by uttering it within the grounds of the Palace of justice, Muhammad Shafee Abdullah has truly insulted all estate workers.

Indians, Malays, Chinese, Sabahans and Sarawakians all over the country had toiled in estates all through this country's history.

Estate workers were the quiet, labourious building blocks of modernising Malaysia.

Yet this hotshot lawyer has the audacity to bark at estate workers?

And Najib owes Malaysians no apology?

We should not let all these seemingly powerful individuals get away with their crude, mean and disgustingly arrogant public behaviours and thoughtless words.

Even a public apology is not enough.

It is time that associations and civil society representatives filed a legal suit against Muhammad Shafee and got this seeming 'brilliant' criminal lawyer to taste the bitter truth for insulting Malaysians.

Shafee's credibility has apparently crashed, finally.
