With the religious credentials being bandied about by the authorities in Kelantan, and Kota Baru specifically, one would really expect the state and city to be squeaky clean, right?
Think again. If you stroll around the Kota Baru airport, you can very easily come across someone selling seedy and steamy magazines and books, which you would not be even find in Kuala Lumpur (a city if sin, according to PAS who rule Kelantan).
On top of that, local stores sells Indonesian soft porn video compact discs openly. What is happening? This is from a party that talks and moans about concerts and cultural shows being haram and not conducive to nation building.
But I suppose the enforcement officers in Kota Baru are preoccupied ensuring traders close during prayer times and that couples don't hold hands in public and that queues for the different sexes remain separate at supermarket and cinemas.
To me, Kelantan looks like a lot of poppycock where substance does not exist and this is camouflaged in the guise of propaganda. Grow up, will you PAS state government and get real.
