In a world that is changing faster than ever, it is more important than ever to prepare children for the future. This is exactly what MoneyTree Asia Pacific aims to do. As a leader in financial education and training, they are passionate about giving children the skills they need to succeed, no matter what the future holds.

Supporting parents and kids together

MoneyTree Asia Pacific recently hosted an event that hit home for both parents and kids. The session, called “The Future is Racing Ahead: At Least You Are Doing Something About It!”, gave families the chance to explore what it takes to help kids get ready for tomorrow’s challenges. The event featured a lively chat with Michael Reyes, CEO and founder of MoneyTree Asia Pacific and Quantum Intelligence; Dr Hamidah Helmei, head of secondary at Idrissi International School; and Carmen Kong, board-certified behaviour analyst and founder of the ABA Project.

They covered some crucial topics that every parent worries about, like how AI is changing jobs, how schools are piling on the pressure, and how more kids are struggling with mental health issues. Reyes summed it up perfectly: “At MoneyTree Asia Pacific, we want to change this for young children by teaching them Future-Ready skills.”

Tackling the big issues

The session didn’t shy away from tough truths. Here are some of the key issues they talked about:

  • AI and jobs: Careers that kids are aiming for now might not even exist in a few years, thanks to artificial intelligence.

  • School stress: Kids are under more pressure than ever, with schools trying to keep up by piling on work.

  • Mental health: Did you know one in three kids in many countries struggles with mental health? It’s a huge issue that needs attention.

Making learning fun and practical

Parents and kids got to dive into some really useful tools, like mental health tips, how to protect kids from stress, and spotting the warning signs when things aren’t okay. The kids, meanwhile, joined fun workshops where they learned:

  • Smart money habits: How to spend wisely and understand the basics of money.

  • Memory boosting tricks: Skills to help them remember more and study better.

  • Staying calm under pressure: Ways to handle challenges without getting overwhelmed.

The MoneyTree difference

MoneyTree Asia Pacific isn’t just any financial literacy provider - it’s the biggest in Southeast Asia. Their programmes are backed by central banks and education ministries because they really work. But as Reyes pointed out, “Being financially smart isn’t enough anymore. We’ve developed a whole range of tools to help kids prepare for whatever the future throws at them.”

Real stories from parents

Parents at the session walked away inspired. Kolin Zainal, a mother of two, said, “It’s so important for parents to find ways to connect with their kids. Mental health isn’t just about the kids; it’s about us too.” Another mother, Ayu Rafikah, who has seven kids, shared, “Today was a real eye-opener. It showed me how to help my kids face challenges positively and be ready for what’s coming.”

A fun finish

The day ended on a high note with a special screening of “Moana 2” for the parents and kids to enjoy together. It was the perfect way to wrap up a day full of learning and connection, thanks to MoneyTree Asia Pacific.

Building a bright future

MoneyTree Asia Pacific is not just about teaching skills, but also about building children’s confidence, resilience and intelligence. Their programmes ensure that families are ready to take on whatever the future brings and emerge stronger.
