Meet the panelists:

Yasmin Rasyid, Sustainability Director, Lendlease Malaysia

Dr. Yasmin Rasyid is a sustainability expert by profession, environmentalist by passion. She currently serves as the country director of sustainability for Lendlease Malaysia. She founded non-profit environmental organization, EcoKnights and has led various local and international efforts on sustainable community development.

Chris Chan, Sustainability Assistant Manager, Awantec

Chris is a seasoned Sustainability Manager with extensive expertise in Bursa's sustainability reporting regulations and frameworks, including GRI, UNSDG, FTSE4Good, TCFD, as well as Green building certifications like GreenRE and GBI. I am highly regarded for my proficiency in developing comprehensive green designs, documentation, and effectively managing multiple projects at a time. My track record showcases a commitment to efficiency, quality, and sustainable excellence.

Azliza Azmel, Executive Director, Corporate Services, Lotus’s Malaysia

Azliza is a seasoned retailer with over 20 years of experience. She first joined Tesco Malaysia in 2002 to set-up the legal department, creating a strong portfolio in legal advisory, regulatory and governance. She played a key role notably, in the acquisition of Makro stores in 2007 and subsequent sale of Tesco businesses in Thailand and Malaysia to the Charoen Pokphand Group (C.P. Group) in 2020. In 2014 to 2016, Azliza was given the responsibility to lead the strategic and planning function supporting development and mobilization of annual business plans as Legal and Business Development Director. A relationship builder and always advocating to do the right thing, her remit was expanded to Corporate Services Director, accountable for the delivery of corporate services in Legal Affairs, Government Relations, Communications as well as Sustainability matters. Under her leadership, Tesco Malaysia was named the most sustainable retailer in 2019 by WWF Malaysia. In 2022, Lotus’s Malaysia received two recognitions under CP for Sustainability Awards 2022 for its Food Waste Reduction (food surplus) and School Adoption Programme.
