Government officials are still ardently trying to convince us that our telecommunication’s industry descent continues according to the plan.
However, red flags suggest the public must ramp up its vigilance over the Digital National Berhad (DNB)-led 5G rollout.
Sadly enough, this issue is no longer about protecting our national competitiveness on the pathway to the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), which has already been severely hampered.
Instead, there is a more mundane task now in front of the public watchdogs - at least save the taxpayers money.
More so in line with the statement by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Mustapa Mohamed to postpone or discontinue any mega project that has yet to commence to save public expenditure and focus on what is important for the people, the DNB certainly sounds as a good candidate.
