Sponsoring events and extending logistics reach
In a bid to showcase its versatility and capabilities, Lalamove has emerged as a sponsor for the MY FM Fun Pickleball Friendly Match, riding on the sport's growing popularity.
Speaking on behalf of the logistics company, Lalamove managing director Jane Teh highlighted their motivations and the broader role logistics play in ensuring the success of any event, be it a sports tournament, music festival, or community gathering.
“We see this as an opportunity to display and extend our capabilities as a logistics partner. Logistics is the backbone of making such events successful,” shared Teh. Given the surge of interest in pickleball across Malaysia, Lalamove has strategically launched campaigns targeting pickleball enthusiasts while collaborating with retail shops to enhance delivery solutions.
“We are partnering with retail shops to extend their reach, offering on-demand delivery for pickleball equipment and mid-mile solutions to maintain stock levels efficiently,” she further explained. This move aligns with Lalamove’s broader strategy of leveraging trends to meet customer needs and support partners.
On a personal note, Teh shared the company’s growing enthusiasm for pickleball. Exposure to the sport through this sponsorship has transformed it into a favourite team-building activity for Lalamove employees. “We host weekly team-building sessions, and pickleball has really resonated with us. The beauty of the game lies in its inclusivity - it’s suitable for all ages, and success relies more on skill and adaptability than aggression.”
Drawing parallels between the game and Lalamove’s approach to business, Teh emphasised the importance of staying nimble, working collaboratively, and adapting to dynamic conditions - key traits for success both on the court and in logistics. “Just like in pickleball, in business, you need to stay agile, align with your partner, and adapt to changing circumstances.”
Beyond pickleball, Lalamove remains open to sponsoring and supporting other events that allow them to showcase their logistical expertise. “If there’s an opportunity for us to display our capabilities - whether through hosting, sponsorships, or partnerships – we’re ready to explore it further.”
With its innovative campaigns and commitment to staying in tune with community interests, Lalamove is making waves both as a logistics partner and as a champion of emerging trends like pickleball. As the sport continues to gain traction, Lalamove’s presence on and off the court reflects its mission to keep businesses and communities moving seamlessly.
