Whether you choose to donate to charities, support people living in poverty, advocate to protect the environment, help animals in need, or address global or local problems, charities need your help to continue their selfless initiatives.
Plus, giving can feel just as good as receiving!
Lend a helping hand through Shopee!
With Ramadan beginning this week, it is definitely a welcome reminder to remember those less fortunate and continue to give a helping hand to those in need.
If you are planning to make contributions to your preferred charitable cause, you can easily do so via the Shopee app. Shopee Malaysia’s long-term community initiative #ShopeeGivesBack aims to assist the underprivileged as well as raise funds to support various causes.
Making a positive impact on the community
Since day one, Shopee believes in harnessing the power of e-commerce to bring value to their users and communities. The platform makes it easier than ever for users to not only support the lives of many Malaysians but also provide an avenue to the recognised NGOs, enabling users to share their contributions.
Below are the 5 steps on how you can make your donations through the Shopee app:
All you have to do is launch your Shopee App, click the 'Prepaid, Bills & Tickets' icon and select 'Donation' under the Donation and Finance category.
Then enter the amount you would like to donate and select the relevant charity organisation you wish to contribute to, on the donation main page. Select “Personal” or “Business”, fill in the requested details and done. You are all set to donate!
#ShopeeGivesBack provides full support to Malaysian charity bodies that require assistance, by contributing 100% of the donations received. All proceeds will directly go up to 54 charity bodies for users to donate.
Donation is also made available on #ShopeeGivesBack microsite to direct users to the donation platform. Shopee Donation is supported to all Shopee Android users only.
Donations can be made on Shopee as low as RM1 to RM50,000 respectively. Donations made to registered charity bodies by LHDN are entitled for tax relief.

With the “Rahmah initiative” introduced by the government to help those in need have access to basic essentials, Shopee have also come up with their own campaign known as #ShopeeGivesBack x Bakul Rahmah.
Shopee Supermarket, as part of #ShopeeGivesBack, will offer 6 types of Bakul Rahmah donations comprising essential food items, each priced at RM32. It will then be donated to Shopee’s partner NGOs:
Ukhwah for Ummah
Islamic Relief
The Lost Food Project
Kechara Soup Kitchen - Food Bank
These donation bundles will be available for purchase by the public via Shopee Supermarket store, and Shopee will deliver the items to the NGOs. Click HERE for more information.
Shopee Farm: Plant, Harvest and Donate
Another good news is, Shopee Farm players can now plant 'seed sedekah' for free, which will eventually become rice packets. You reap what you sow, literally!
There will be up to 20,000kg of rice packets delivered to NGOs: The Lost Food Project and Kechara Soup Kitchen - Food Bank for donation. This allows engagement and participation as well as creates a sense of social responsibility and community involvement among players. Play now at https://games.shopee.com.my/farm/.
Through these efforts, Shopee aims to foster a stronger community spirit by celebrating small acts of kindness that can make a meaningful difference to the community.
Join Shopee in supporting charity bodies and making a donation today to spread kindness and make a positive impact.
