Celebrating 45 years of ASEAN-EU partnership, the ASEAN-EU Cooperation Expo highlights cooperation between the ASEAN and the EU across different sectors. Launched on 23 May 2022, the expo will last until 9 December 2022 and hosts a series of events, including talk shows, workshops, and photo exhibitions.

Youth Talk Show

Bringing the topic of Mental Health and Resilience “It’s OK not to be OK”, the upcoming Youth Talk Show aims to discuss the importance of mental health amongst youth and highlight stories of resilience about how young people in ASEAN  coped with the pandemic and its aftermath. The platform has been a popular platform amongst ASEAN youth to discuss issues that are close to their hearts.

The talk show will take place online on 15 September 2022 at 2-3:30pm GMT+7. It features speakers from one of the ten best projects from last year’s EU-ASEAN Youth Sustainable Project Competition, Cynthia Audia and Shafira Umm from Indonesia with their mental health podcast, “To Be Honest”, and a speaker from EURAXESS Southeast Asia, Dr Jenny Elmaco.

Joint Photo Exhibition

The expo also features ASEAN-EU Joint Photo Exhibition showcasing the depth and breadth of EU-ASEAN cooperation for the past 45 years. The exhibition includes 45 curated images between 1977-2022 from high-level meetings to cooperation in different fields: from green and inclusive sustainable development to sustainable connectivity, from human rights and good governance to resilience. Following its offline exhibition, the photos can now be seen online and onsite in Brussels towards the end of the year, to celebrate the EU ASEAN Summit which will take place on the 13 and 14 December.
