The holy month of Ramadan is commonly associated with self restrain in the form of daily fasting, but it is not limited to only that. The act of abstinence also extends to negative thoughts and activities, as well as encouraging good behaviour and charity to one another. In spirit of this, PDRM and PBLT joined hands with Dyna Source Sdn Bhd to bring Raya festivity to orphans and widows in an Iftar event.
Dyna Source Sdn Bhd’s Medical Divison – Dyna Medical, the distributor of BioDetect Rapid SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test Card, has been heavily involved in the PPE distribution within Malaysia since the pandemic outbreak. Witnessing the pandemic’s catastrophic effects on the lives of millions, Dyna Source sponsored this event as an effort to give back to the less fortunate who have been affected negatively by the loss of loved ones and stable income sources in the last two years.
Held at the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters, the Iftar event was attended by VVIP guests including Shah Alam District Chief ACP Mohd Iqbal bin Ibrahim and his deputy Superintendent Ramsay Anak Embol; Dato’ Kamaruddin bin Mat Desa (Mantan Deputy Director of Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersil); Directors of Dyna Source Sdn Bhd - Ir. Mohd Fadzil bin Mat Hussin, Walter Hiew Kim Swee and Martin Low Wink Keng; Pn. Sr Nor Khairiah Abdul Halim (COO of PBLT); En. Saharudin Salim (Management Facilities General Manager of PBLT); Dato’ Sri Noor Azerai (President of Rinani Group); Executive Directors of MGRC - Tuan Noor Azri bin Noor Azerai and Dato’ Alvin Joseph Nesakumar; and Datin Seri Anizah binti Musa.
The evening began with the arrival of Yang Berbahagia Datuk Seri Haji Mazlan bin Lazim and his wife, Datin Seri Hajah Anizah binti Musa. All attendees were greeted with welcome goodies consisting of surgical face masks and Covid-19 test kits. The opening speech given by Datuk Seri Haji Mazlan was followed by the distribution of Raya green packets and essential PPE - inclusive of Dyna Source’s hand sanitizers, surgical face masks and Covid- 19 test kits by the attending VVIP guests to each of the 61 orphans aged between 8 and 10 years oldfrom Rumah Amal Budi Bestari, OKU children and adults, chronic patients, as well as widows and widowers.
After the formalities and distribution ceremonies, all guests and attendees were invited to break fast together at the location followed by Maghrib mass prayers in the indoor hall. The event continues further into the night with sermons and ended with supper (moreh) after Terawih prayers.
