As the holy month of Ramadan unfolds, IJM Land continues its annual Program Mesra Ramadan, reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility by supporting underprivileged families. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden of those in need, ensuring they can observe Ramadan and prepare for the upcoming Hari Raya with peace of mind.

This year, IJM Land extended aid to six deserving families by providing essential groceries worth RM600 — including rice, cooking oil, flour, and cookies — along with RM1,000 in duit Raya. This gesture reflects IJM Land’s dedication to fostering a spirit of togetherness and ensuring that financial hardship does not overshadow the joy of the festive season.

Datuk Chai Kian Soon, Chief Operating Officer of IJM Land Berhad, emphasised that the company’s role extends beyond property development — it is about fostering a caring and connected community. "At IJM Land, we believe that a home is more than just four walls—it is about the warmth, life, and sense of belonging within it.

“Through Program Mesra Ramadan, we are not just extending financial aid, but ensuring that every family, regardless of their circumstances, feels included in the festive spirit. Our commitment goes beyond development; it is about making a lasting impact in the lives of those around us,” said Datuk Chai.

Among this year’s beneficiaries is Marjuliana binti Mahros, a 45-year-old widow struggling to support her six children through a small home-based business following the passing of her husband.  Similarly, 43-year-old Azila binti Abdul Hamid, also a widow, works as a cleaner and manages a small food business to provide for her four children.

Mimiartika binti Miskam, 45, and Norlia binti Pawi, 42, struggle with unstable incomes while supporting their families, receiving little to no financial aid. Nurul Huda binti Abdul Azis, a 41-year-old hotel cleaner, cares for her two sons, one of whom has autism, while her husband works away from home and returns only on weekends. Meanwhile, Mainozaifah binti Mohd Nor, a 34-year-old homemaker, relies solely on her husband's earnings as a school van driver to support their six children, including an infant.

By supporting these families through its Program Mesra Ramadan, IJM Land hopes to provide much-needed relief and uplift those who need it most during Ramadan.

The IJM Land Seremban 2 team lends a helping hand to Puan Mimiartika in preparation for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection, unity, and giving, and we want to ensure that families facing financial hardship do not feel left behind. Through this initiative, we hope to bring comfort and joy, allowing them to celebrate Hari Raya with peace of mind,” concluded Datuk Chai.

Since 2018, Program Mesra Ramadan has been an annual tradition, complemented by other initiatives such as the Deepavali Charity Cheer and Chinese New Year Charity Programme, reflecting IJM Land’s unwavering dedication to community support.
