After two months of fund-raising, Tropicana Foundation’s (“Foundation”) Season of Joy & Giving raised more than RM220,000 worth of perishable and non-perishable items as well as resources from cash, outdoor media banners, F&B and event space setup. In its continued aim to support the underprivileged community, Tropicana Foundation has been running this fundraising campaign for the last five years, instilling and encouraging the ‘Art of Caring’. All initiatives by the Tropicana Foundation committee members and volunteers were channeled towards raising funds and buying dry goods for the needy this Christmas extending to 11 associations that are home to 400 community members across Klang Valley. On 7 December 2024, a finale event was held for 120 guests from the 11 homes, welcoming orphanages, the disabled and old folks at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort where they were treated to good food, entertainment as well as donation giveaways.
Serena Lim, Senior General Manager at Tropicana expressed her joy and appreciation at the efforts of her team, “It has been a pleasure leading and working alongside the Tropicana Foundation committee and volunteers. Their sheer determination and hard work have paid off as we raised more than double the amount compared to last year. The donations received are valued at more than RM220,000 worth of perishable and non-perishable items and resources from cash, outdoor media banners, F&B and event space sponsorship from Tropicana Golf & Country Resort.
