Data from Lalamove reveals a 20% increase in delivery requests in 2023, during the week preceding Deepavali compared to the month prior. This year, this trend is expected to continue, driven by festive events, house moving as well as food deliveries.

“As Deepavali falls on a Thursday this year, we’re expecting more people to extend their celebrations, visit family and host larger gatherings. This, combined with businesses taking advantage of the extended break, leads to an overall increase in festivities and higher delivery demands,” Teh noted.
“We want to ensure that both businesses and families can rely on Lalamove for their delivery needs during this busy period.”
