Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - June 19, 2024 - In a significant move to enhance educational opportunities for working adults, Edumaax Education Group (EEG) and TGCC PLT have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide OTHM qualifications and endorsed programmes at the Edumaax Professional Centre (EPC). This collaboration aims to broaden the scope of professional and academic qualifications available to working professionals.

Edumaax Education Group, founded by MAA Group Bhd Executive Chairman Tunku Dato' Yaacob Khyra, oversees prestigious educational institutions such as St. John's International School (SJIS) and Imperium International College. Under the leadership of Tunku Dato' Yaacob Khyra and CEO, Anne Rajasaikaran, EEG continues to expand its educational footprint, catering to primary, secondary, and tertiary education through a diverse portfolio of institutions, including Pusat Tuisyen Kasturi and Alfa Academic Tuition Centre.

Established in 2021, Edumaax Professional Centre is dedicated to offering professional programmes and training. With the approval to offer OTHM qualifications, EPC will now provide courses from Level 3 to Level 8, equivalent to Foundation through Doctorate levels. This strategic partnership with TGCC PLT allows EPC to deliver coursework-based qualifications, eliminating the need for exams and providing flexibility for students to start and finish their courses at their convenience.

OTHM, a UK-based awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual, is renowned for its flexible qualification framework and comprehensive coursework-based assessment. With a global network of approved centres, OTHM offers a wide range of qualifications that cater to various academic and professional needs.

The partnership also includes the delivery of TGCC PLT-endorsed programmes at EPC. These programmes, designed to add value to learners' current qualifications, cover a range of specialized fields such as automotive technology, data protection, halal practices, project management, and TVET, among others. This collaboration is set to enhance the educational landscape by providing learners with industry-relevant skills and recognized qualifications.

To celebrate this collaboration and provide more information about the courses offered, Edumaax Professional Centre will host an OTHM Open Day at Imperium International College from June 24 to June 28, 2024. All working adults, with or without paper qualifications, are encouraged to walk in and explore the opportunities available.

Rajasekaran Kanagarajah, Head of Operations & Compliance at Edumaax Education Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership: "This MoU marks a significant milestone for Edumaax Professional Centre. Partnering with TGCC PLT to offer OTHM qualifications and endorsed programmes will greatly enhance our educational offerings, providing students with valuable and recognized qualifications."

Datuk Murthy, Group Managing Director of TGCC PLT, echoed this sentiment: "We are delighted to collaborate with Edumaax Education Group. This partnership will bring high-quality education and professional development opportunities to more learners, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their careers."

The collaboration between Edumaax Education Group and TGCC PLT signifies a strong commitment to providing quality education and professional development opportunities, ensuring that learners are well-prepared for the demands of the global job market.
