With the recent surge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) enrollment among students to 45.73%, it is time for educators to ride this wave and ignite the flames of curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM disciplines. As a Malaysia-based ed-tech startup, EXPLORIA spearheads STEM and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education by offering a comprehensive ecosystem that integrates hands-on learning kits and a cutting-edge online portal.

Since its establishment in April 2020, EXPLORIA has experienced significant growth, impacting over 460,000 children in Malaysia. With  STEM kits covering a wide range of topics designed for children from as young as 3 to 17 years old, EXPLORIA has sold over 170,000 kits available in 178 retail stores across Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia.

We want to make learning more accessible not just for kids, but for teachers as well. You can implement EXPLORIA in a classroom setting easily, as we provide all the materials and instructions required to teach the children,” said Dr Raihan Musa, founder and CEO of EXPLORIA. “Our signature hands-on learning experience creates a fun and engaging environment for kids and educators alike, with our variety of content that suits a broad spectrum of interests

EXPLORIA promotes holistic and inclusive STEM education, especially for students with special needs and those residing in rural areas. Through EXPLORIA’s targeted outreach programmes, these students will have better access to high-quality and engaging STEM education regardless of geography and financial background.

The startup has also collaborated with UNICEF and MRANTI to run the EXPLORIA Eco Hero Project, a programme with a mission to educate children on climate science. The combination of the EXPLORIA Climate Science kit, portal, and drone module has since helped 5,000 children map out our local mangrove ecosystem. This, in turn, helps to raise their awareness regarding the impact of  climate change.

MRANTI’s Global Accelerator Programme (GAP) has also played a crucial role in EXPLORIA’s growth. In providing both mentorship opportunities and access to a robust network of experts, the GAP has been instrumental in supporting EXPLORIA. They aim to continue honing progressive business strategies, navigating challenges, and facilitating connections within the industry to continue connecting future generations to the world of STEM.
