The SEGi University is deeply committed to working towards the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its teaching and learning. The following initiatives are by SEGi own esteemed School of Communication and Creative Design (SoCCD) staffs and students working towards SDG 4: Quality Education in their upcoming campaign named Societal-Sci 2023.
Prof. Srikumar Chakravarthi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of SEGi University stated that the university play a crucial part in implementing principles of sustainability and shaping students to be SDG leaders. SEGi is already making substantial efforts through education, social outreach, and research to achieve the goals.
“Since SEGi emphasis quality on our academic programmes, SDGs are integrated into the students’ curriculum across all disciplines. For instance, SoCCD serves to implement Social Science Research awareness campaign thru Societal-Sci 2023 which aims to highlight the importance of research and to breaking down destructive labels surrounding research.
“In addition to academic excellence, at SEGi University, students are being strengthened not only from a theoretical standpoint, but also from a skill standpoint, because in today's world, not only a degree, but skills that add value to students are required, this is where SEGi comes in, and solid proof is Societal-Sci 2023,” said Sri.
