The demand for an international school education remains high as evidenced by the large crowds at the recently concluded Private & International School Fair at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. The fair attracted more than 12,000 visitors over the weekend. Many parents with school-going children were seen speaking to representatives from international schools, and watching the variety of performances at the fair.

Organised by Mint Communications, there were more than 70 exhibitors at the 17th edition of the fair in Kuala Lumpur. Beaconhouse Malaysia, MAHSA International School, Maple Leaf Kingsley International School, Regent International School, Westlake International School, Campus Rangers International School, Marlborough College Malaysia, Sayfol International School Kuala Lumpur, Templer Park International School and Qosmo International School, were among the exhibitors. Many international schools that took part in the fair also provide boarding facilities to students.

A number of UK colleges and universities were also present at the fair, offering a range of pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The UK Pavilion headed by SI-UK Malaysia featured universities in the UK and beyond such as Cardiff Sixth Form College Dukes Education Group; Hult International Business School; Manchester Metropolitan University; St. George’s University; St Mary’s University, Twickenham, London; University College London (UCL); University of Aberdeen; University of Galway; University of Kent, UK; University of Reading; University of Sunderland and University of the West of England, among others.

Additionally, a number of preschools, learning centres, special educational needs (SEN) providers, pre-university providers, and non-school organisations looking to promote their offerings, participated in the fair.

Visitors took advantage of the special discounts, fee waivers and scholarship opportunities offered by exhibitors at the fair. Visit Private & International School Fair website for upcoming events organised by Mint Communications.

Parents and children were entertained by a repertoire of energetic performances by students from international schools, music schools and other institutions, including a lion dance, cheerleading and orchestras, among others.
