CGS-CIMB Securities welcomes Chinese fund houses with AUM of approximately RMB 8.1 trillion

CGS-CIMB Securities International Pte. Ltd. (“CGS-CIMB”) and its group recently hosted a five-day business visit for five Chinese fund houses with Asset Under Management (“AUM”) of approximately RMB 8.1 trillion in its Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand offices. The exercise took place from 31 October 2022 till 4 November 2022. 

Image above: CGS-CIMB hosted the maiden business visit of five Chinese fund houses, namely Bosera Asset Management Co., CSOP Asset Management Limited, China Universal Asset Management (Hong Kong) Company Limited., and Fullgoal Asset Management (HK) Limited, with Asset Under Management (“AUM”) worth a total of RMB 8.1 trillion to Malaysia and hosted a meeting with the Securities Commission Malaysia.

Delegates from Chinese fund houses which participated in the event includes Bosera Asset Management (International) Co., CSOP Asset Management Limited, China Universal Asset Management (Hong Kong) Company Limited., and Fullgoal Asset Management (HK) Limited. The delegates were treated to a packed programme of meetings with local regulators namely Singapore Exchange Limited, Securities Commission Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia and Stock Exchange of Thailand to understand the investment landscape in the respective countries. And, a slew of networking opportunities with institution and corporate clients in the three offices to discuss potential collaborations.

The business visit aims to bring Chinese fund managers to invest in ASEAN and promote connectivity between China and ASEAN countries. Also, to provide investors access to investment opportunities in various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, ETF and many more. This initiative is an integral part of CGS-CIMB Securities’ vision to be a leading and trusted financial services group in Asia.
