Koperasi Kakitangan PETRONAS Berhad (KOPETRO) organized a ‘Majlis Ramah Mesra’ yesterday at The Meritz Hotel, Miri to celebrate members of the cooperative. The event was attended by members consisting of employees of PETRONAS and its subsidiaries, alongside, Board Members and Management Committees of KOPETRO. Celebrated guests were served with a variety of traditional and international dishes and entertained by various activities including buskers performance and lucky draw.
Majlis Ramah Mesra KOPETRO is part of KOPETRO’s tour series that primarily aims to foster the spirit of togetherness and strengthen unity between the members, staff and management of the cooperative.
Chairman of KOPETRO, Roslan Abdul Rahim, who delivered his speech at the event, expressed his gratitude for the success of organising this kind of event to celebrate KOPETRO members in Sarawak.
“For more than two years, we had to control our movements due to the spread of COVID-19. Alhamdulillah, now more activities involving our members can be organised to revive the spirit of unity and strengthen the bond between members and management of the cooperative,” said Roslan.
Roslan hopes this event will serve as one of the platforms for members to get to know each other and exchange opinions, besides discussing ways of improving and leveraging the quality of services offered by KOPETRO.
In addition to Miri, KOPETRO also traveled to Bintulu last 12 September to celebrate their respective members at Bintulu. The event was held at the Fairfield Hotel, Bintulu and attended by over 200 guests. Moreover, KOPETRO will organise another ‘Majlis Ramah Mesra’ to celebrate their members at Kota Kinabalu on 20 September 2022.
