International Primary Curriculum (IPC) Explained: Parents - join an Interactive Workshop at Nexus next week!

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) develops children aged 5-11 into knowledgeable, globally competent, and future-ready learners. The IPC programme is an inquiry-based, thematic approach, which encourages the learning of subjects through a central idea. Through thematic units teachers can create enjoyable and engaging learning opportunities that enable learners to make connections between subjects and the world around them. The curriculum is up-to-date, comprehensive, and future-oriented;  aimed at children from Years 1 to 6 growing up in this digital age. It nurtures a love of learning and encourages key skills, competencies, and habits of minds.

How does the IPC do this?

Primary Discovery Day, Thurs, Sept 8th, 10 am - 12 pm

Come and join Nexus International School at its campus in Putrajaya on Thursday, Sept 8th between 10 am to 12 pm, for an informative day getting to know the International Primary Curriculum directly from its teachers and learners. This event will start with an introductory talk about what the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is and how we learn best through the IPC, from our IPC Lead teacher, Ms Janine Grassby.

Interactive IPC Demo & Learning Showcase

At Nexus, learners are encouraged to build curiosity and engage with their education under the guidance of teachers who are highly trained in the delivery of the IPC.  While our teachers will be talking to you about the benefits of the IPC, we would prefer to  provide you with the opportunity to hear from the learners themselves. In the workshop, learners will explain and show examples of their learning across school in their learning journey from Entry Point to Exit Point. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in activities to truly experience the world of IPC and how it helps unleash creativity, curiosity and innovation!

Curriculum Stations by Lead Teachers

Lead Teachers in Maths, English, Enquiry, Assessment and Physical Education will also be present on the day to explain how they make links to IPC through their own specialised subjects.
