With rising data leaks and cases on compromised emails — traditional username, email and passwords alone are inefficient in protecting user accounts for both employees and end-consumers. The webinar will highlight the gaps and challenges within the current ecosystem, and how solutions such as electronic Know-Your-Customer (eKYC) and Blockchain Secure Authentication (BSA) can provide additional assurance for every login and sign-up attempt.
Business email compromise cases have risen by 14% in 2020, and up to 80% in certain sectors. Two in five people also have their identities hacked, sensitive information breached due to bad password practices. This has resulted in a 70% increase in fraudulent digital account registrations in 1H2021 alone.
Multi-factor authentication can be the answer to this new digital endemic. BSA and eKYC have proven beneficial towards industries that deal with large amounts of private and confidential data, such as banking, telecommunications and healthcare.
