It’s no secret that youth unemployment has become a top concern for global leaders as they navigate through the post-COVID-19 world. Education cities developer, HCK Capital Group Berhad is calling for more bold measures, including encouraging entrepreneurship, to help the 9.5 million Malaysian youth navigate the adversities ahead.

HCK Capital Group Berhad believes entrepreneurship, which will create jobs and upskilling opportunities for young people, should be the core of a multi-pronged effort to help Malaysian youth face the real impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, which are expected to become even more visible in the coming months.

At the launch of Atelier+ Lifestyle Office – Small Office (LoSo) Suites in Edusphere, Cyberjaya, HCK Capital Group Berhad Executive Director, Dr Dennis Ling, said, “Kick-starting youth entrepreneurship, even before graduation, can be the answer to the escalating youth unemployment issue. The challenge now is building a collaborative entrepreneurship ecosystem that could bring job and wealth opportunities to more young people, especially fresh graduates.”

According to the Statistics Department of Malaysia, the country’s unemployment rate has risen to 5.3% in May 2020 from 5% in April 2020 with the number of unemployed increased to 826,100 individuals. Additionally, youths within the 15 to 24 year old range were observed to record higher unemployment rate as compared to adults aged 25 to 64.

HCK Capital Group Berhad highlighted that the success of a collaborative entrepreneurship system very much hinges on having the right infrastructure, amenities and accessibility to a collaborative, like-minded community. Taking all these factors into consideration, HCK Capital Group Berhad has once again blazed a new trail by unveiling Atelier+ LoSo suites and retail units – a new concept collaborative lifestyle hub for young and rising entrepreneurs, start-ups and creative ventures, located in the Edusphere mixed development in Cyberjaya, which has a gross development value of RM 1.8 billion.

“If we’re going to help our younger generation to succeed in turning their dreams into reality, in addition to financial resources, we need to provide a good environment and place for them to thrive, especially those in the ideation stage. We have spent months researching the needs and analysing how to create a collaborative environment for entrepreneurs. We believe Atelier+ LoSo suites will respond to young entrepreneurs demand for a lifestyle office which meets their urban lifestyle needs,” Dr Dennis Ling said.

According to HCK Capital Group Berhad, Cyberjaya has the right ingredients to become the next entrepreneurship hot spot with its high concentration of hi-tech business infrastructure, a pool of thriving young talents and close vicinity to Kuala Lumpur. Atelier+ LoSo suites and retail units is anticipated to contribute to building a bustling entrepreneur and start-up community with a distinctive vibe of enthusiasm and creativity that will differentiate it from other entrepreneur hubs.

Phase one of Atelier+ will see the release of 60 units of three-storey LoSo suites sitting atop 39 units of retail shops spread across two blocks, making it a low-density project. Each lifestyle suite boasts a contemporary and functional space layout designed to capture the sense of productivity and creativity.

One strong point of Atelier+ is each suite will be individually owned, making it affordable for young investors and professionals to purchase their dream lifestyle office. The price for the 1,045 - 2,055 sq feet retail shops are ranging from RM 810,000, while the Atelier+ LoSo suites, spanning from 650 sq feet, is priced from RM 400,000.

To promote a conducive environment, there will be a dedicated private elevator linked to each individual suite and one car park unit on the ground floor.

Due for completion by 2023, the commercial units will be surrounded by a wide array of lifestyle amenities and services catering to the budding entrepreneur community. Following an earlier collaboration with KFC Malaysia, the Group has recently inked a Sales & Purchase Agreement with another international quick-service restaurant chain to open a new drive-thru outlet in the development.

HCK Capital Group Berhad expects the Atelier+ LoSo suites to chalk up an average capital appreciation of four to five percent annually benefiting from Cyberjaya’s high-growth potential as a technology and research as well as an education hub.

The project, with easy links to Kuala Lumpur City Centre via Maju Expressway, ELITE Expressway and Damansara-Puchong Expressway, is located within walking distance to University of Cyberjaya and Multimedia University Cyberjaya, while Lim Kok Wing University is located within 5km from the development.

Entrepreneurs, property buyers and investors who are interested in becoming part of this high- potential collaborative business hub project can visit Edusphere@Cyberjaya sales gallery, every Monday – Saturday (9:00am to 6:00pm), or call 03-7890 1313.
