The “who’s who” of the regional real estate and property development industry converged over the weekend at the first-ever Global Real Estate Developers & Agents Conference (GREDAC) 2016, successfully generating a whopping RM10 billion in potential business opportunities.
More than 500 award-winning real estate developers and top-level property agents from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Africa and Australia came together for this milestone event, which was held for the very first time at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.
The two-day conference, organised by Wonderbucks Berhad – an investment company which manages a real estate mobile platform and investment-related technology – together with Wonderlist Property Sdn. Bhd. – a mobile application that connects over 5,000 real estate agents, served as a unique international business matchmaking event for the real estate community and a chance for Malaysia to showcase its latest developments to the region.

Melanie Wong, Events & Promotions Manager from Wonderlist Sdn. Bhd., remarked that the personalised business matching platform had indeed created vast investment opportunities for all agents and developers present.
“In addition to learning and exchanging ideas with fellow industry members from around the world, GREDAC also provided us with unique opportunities to expand our business network. During the event, Wonderlist successfully secured RM10 billion worth of development projects for all users of the Wonderlist app. These projects will be part of the new Wonderlist Wealth Network (WWN) programme, and agents using our mobile app will have exclusive rights to sell these projects.”
With the overarching objective to “reform the future of real estate through consumer-driven technology”, GREDAC 2016 proved to be a crucial platform for industry veterans and property experts to address the current challenges and potential opportunities in the industry, especially focusing on consumer-driven technology and its impact on the real estate business.
“GREDAC 2016 was conceptualised to take advantage of latent opportunities in the local and regional property market, bringing together global industry leaders with access to more than 50,000 real estate agents’ international networks. It also provided a priceless opportunity for us to showcase Malaysian properties and generate interest in the local property market, which remains highly attractive to foreign investors,” said Ray Chung, Founder of GREDAC and CEO of Wonderbucks Berhad.
Malaysia marks the first destination for the annual GREDAC event, which is scheduled to be held in Jakarta in March 2017, followed by other countries in the South East Asian region in the near future.
GREDAC 2016 was supported by the Secretariat for the Advancement of Malaysian Entrepreneurs (SAME), Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), Malaysian Association of Facility Management (MAFM), & Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers (MIPPM) together with the support from organisations from Singapore including the Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers (SISV) and the Association of Professional Facility Managers (APFM).
