MACC raided an apartment unit in Kuala Lumpur last night, which the anti-graft agency suspected was a "safehouse" used by a prominent politician to stash illegally gained cash.

According to an MACC insider, the 10pm raid was carried out as part of its investigation into the politician suspected of corruption.
