What is the real story behind claims that Indian traders are being sidelined in Deepavali stall allocations by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall?
There have been many complaints that Indian traders are missing out in Kuala Lumpur's Masjid India area this year - a place known as 'Little India' and long considered as a stronghold of the community.
A walk in the area appears to justify the complaint. There are indeed only a handful of Indian stalls among more than 300 traders plying their trade there, mostly selling Aidil Fitri cookies, goodies and clothes.
