The missing jet engine is but a drop in the sea of public funds the BN squandered in the course of 30 years of combined Mahathir-Abdullah-Najib misrule.

At this rate, Dr Mahathir Mohamad need not worry about being re-colonised by foreigners due to our lack of mastery of the English language (however nonsensical this notion may be).

The nincompoops in the government will gladly dismantle the country piece-by-piece and sell it to the highest bidder. As the Malay proverb goes, ‘harapkan pagar, pagar makan padi’.

With a defense ministry like this, who needs foreign invaders? Our opponents/neighbours can beat us by simply doing nothing.

The prime - who trumpets the slogan ‘Performance now’ - was the defense minister when this theft occurred two years ago and now promises there will be no cover-ups.

If this qualifies as expeditious and forthcoming action, no wonder the civil service is in such a rut.
