Sarawak's longest bridge - the Batang Rajang Bridge - will be open to the public on Monday.

Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud will open and name the 1.22km four-lane bridge spanning over the Rajang River, Bernama reported today

State Urban Development and Tourism Minister Wong Soon Koh thanked the Shin Yang Group for completing the RM180 million bridge one year ahead of schedule.

The official completion schedule was 42 months.
