BN promises: 'Too little, too late'

your say 'We have suffered and lost enough by gambling on BN for the past 50 years, and there's no greater harm that can befall us by gambling on the fledgling PR.'

On Najib wants Indians, Chinese to back BN

Lingam: The statement by the DPM is an insult to the intelligence and liberty of the Chinese and Indian communities in Malaysia. Neither Chinese nor Indians are fools.

These communities have suffered and lost enough of their effort, hard work and rights by gambling on BN for the past 50 years, and there's no greater harm that can befall them by gambling on the fledgling PR.

Another dirty tactic of the foolish BN was to attempt intimidation and incite fear by stating the rakyat will ‘quarrel with each other'.

The Chinese and Indians, together with their Malay brethren, were influenced by facts and obvious wrongdoing by the executive elite rather than undue influence from the opposition.

Therefore, it is time to reject BN once again. That BN is championing the Indian and Chinese communities is another outright lie to gain authority and to further suppress these communities.

We have heard many claims by special cabinet committees to help the Indians, but marginalisation continues under Umno leadership.

Another form of false promise/election bribery by BN to Chinese and Indians concerns

Chinese and Tamil schools. Suddenly, the government agreed to approve of scrap metal dealer licenses. Wow, what a caring BN government!

Never ever dare to dream that BN, especially under Umno leadership, will champion the interests of Indians and Chinese.

KP Tan:

Don't be fooled by them. They can give now, but will take away later when things are going their way. It is just like what our PM did to Penang.

Many projects were promised as gifts to Penang before the election. They were taken away after they lost.Talk comes cheap from our politicians today.

Raptor22:

Najib really has a sense of humour, doesn't he? When BN wants a win, they won't mind stripping naked.

What has BN done in the past GE at Permatang Pauh for Indian and Chinese communities?

I reside near KL but am going to Permatang Pauh to vote for PKR, just as I did on 8 March. The more BN plays their so-called intellectual game, the more people are going to vote against them.

And Saiful, you sure are an idiot to put yourself into this game. Your Quran-swearing also came under fire among Muslims, who say it was not Islamic.

You have spoiled your own reputation, and you will regret it, sooner or later. Are you saying that we Malaysians are idiots?

Times have changed - fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice, shame on you. As for Anwar's sodomy case, shame on you, BN and Saiful.

Barbara:

I think it's a case of too little too late. It's sad when the Indian community is reduced to scrap (pun intended).

Dhammika:

This category of appeal is likened to begging. The non-bumiputera have been awakened, and I feel it is pathetic that Najib is just trying his luck this time.

All 50 years of our solid support have earned us nothing.

We have ground our own teeth only to be punished and grossly discriminated in educational and economic fields. Enough is enough - vision for change is in everyone's mind.

People are sick of the same talk, whereas PR's talk of reform is much needed for both this country and the rakyat .

BN, especially Umno, must admit that they are the ones who rob Malays, not other races. Umno is in control of the federal administration, so they are responsible.

Their rule has racially divided the rakyat and caused hatred and a racial drift in everything from schools to civil services.

Anwar, please bring to justice evil and make Malaysian soil pure once again. Anwar boleh!

Terrence Chua:

Najib - you are the Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister of this country.

Who gave you permission to use our tax payers' pay to get involved full-time in campaigning at Permatang Pauh?

Aren't there more pressing national interest sthat should rightfully occupy your attention?

Who said you can get paid by us while getting involved in your political party campaigning?

Since Umno-BN has appointed Arif Shah as your candidate, shouldn't you let him get on with it?

DrraviMD:

BN simply has no class. It's a disgrace that the DPM can only either personally attack someone or go by the old dirty tactic of election promises.

Who is Najib to promise things that are rightfully the rakyat 's?

Cut the nonsense and go back to Putrajaya to do your work - running the country in a fair and transparent manner so that the prosperity of the country can be enjoyed by the rakyat .

This an order from your boss, the rakyat !

On 'Indians only good for scrap metal?'

Clippy Mee: I implore all Indians in Permatang Pauh to wake up. Najib is taking advantage of our social status to lure us into a false sense of security.

We have brains and we can think for ourselves - why must you (Najib) give us license to trade in scrap metal? Do you mean all the Indians in this trade have no licence?

Plus, we have been paying taxes year in and year out - do not try to exploit our race during this by-election.

We know what we can get and what we are getting. There is no necessity of inducement during this by-election.

The question of you granting licenses to scrap traders does not arise at all - do not play your dirty politics in Permatang Pauh.

The Barathi Academy:

What's wrong with collecting scrap metal? It is honest labour and the money is good.

Anyway, we are not saying that all Indians should collect scrap metal. Indians are not sheep - they can think for themselves.

Lucian:

Should ACA be investigating the DPM for the bribe offered as this offer is conditional to the by-election results?
