Anwar cannot be any worse than BN

Some said he belonged to the same BN clique and that he is not sincere and cannot be trusted. But what do we have to lose?

On RM100 mil vote-buying: Why is EC silent?

KSN: As a citizen of Malaysia, I do not know whether to laugh or cry, get angry and frustrated or just give up, after reading and seeing the statements and antics by BN leaders in Ijok's 'buy election'.

From pictures of road and drain improvements and other so-called development being carried out, costing to the tune of RM36 million, is it not a fair question for any voter from Ijok to ask, 'What has the BN and the MIC assemblyman done in the past 15 years?'

Now Samy wants to stay there for three months, the Selangor MB wants to adopt the area and stop over whenever he travels to his Sungai Panjang constituency to take care of their welfare. Is the voter to accept that Samy and his MIC assemblyman, who had been elected for three terms, did not know that such a place existed? Did not the MB realise that when he travelled to his area, he was passing through Ijok or that he could not care less?

Now Samy has brought an MGR lookalike to entertain voters. Does he think the Indian voters are really stupid to be carried away by such childish gimmicks and vote for MIC, or am I wrong about the voters?

One more thing about Anwar. Some have said he belonged to the same BN clique and that he is not sincere and cannot be trusted. Be that as it may, let us take his recent pronouncements as sincere and give him one more chance. What do we have to lose? He cannot be any worse than what we have, BN.

I want to bring one piece of information to the public as I am not sure how many are aware of this. Does anybody recall that Anwar acted as the PM for four months and during that time the anti-corruption laws were amended providing powers to investigate ministers even after they have stepped down.

When Dr M came back to work, he was furious. The amendments were reverse in no time. I could be wrong but it is my view that Anwar's troubles started there an then. That's my take. I stand corrected.

On Anwar's speech cut short by cops

Vennti: It seems that malaysiakini is fast deviating from the original goal.

You are supposed to be the watchdog of the covert activities of the government and politicians for the sake of the many underdog Malaysians.

Yet your main interest now appears to be serving as a mouthpiece for a politician and his family, relentlessly projecting their far less-than-real images. How pathetic!

You have done a good job before. High time to refocus yourself.

On Another attack on Khalid

Yee: Dear PM, please go under cover and visit Ijok as soon as possible. There are gangsters there disturbing the peace and harassing the opposition candidate. Even with the presence of hundreds of police and FRU men, there are many thugs and gangsters roughing up decent citizens. Your call for an end to violence in elections have gone unheeded. I suggest you disguise yourself as a common citizen and go to Ijok to see just how bad it is.

YSM: It may not be nice, but if Khalid gets a bruise or a scratch, then it's a sure win for PKR, especially with sympathy votes flying in. What's more, nobody likes a big bully. The BN government has become a group of thugs and this is now before the whole world to see.

On Hunt is on for 20,000 tourist overstayers

PT Tan: This is in relation to Malaysians traveling abroad may now have to fill out a departure card. Heh, heh, heh it is a good thing soon we know where the corrupted officials go to, for how long, how frequent and hopefully how much money is transacted.

Just make sure that everyone, including the PM, his deputy, all ministers, all civil servants and all citizens of Malaysia fill the form without fear or favour, and strictly no exemption.

On RM750 million funds for national cars

Kerajaan haruslah berfikir panjang. Strategi hendaklah betul untuk jangka panjang.
