The Sarawak state government has confirmed two siblings who were infected with rabies, passed away today while another seven-year-old girl is critically ill.
In a statement today, Minister of Local Government and Housing, Dr Sim Kui Hian said the six-year-old girl and four-year-old boy, both from Kampong Paon, Sungai Rimu, Serian, were brain dead.
"The parents of the children have agreed to the life support system to be withdrawn," Sim said, adding the third patient is still being ventilated and is listed as critically ill.
