A police inspector was found dead with a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head at a police station in Kelantan this morning.
The 29-year-old man's body was found about 9:40am by a colleague who noticed he was missing from a morning meeting at the Pasir Putih district police station, according to the New Straits Times Online.
"The colleague searched for him and found the inspector lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound on his forehead,” said acting Kelantan police chief Din Ahmad.
Din added that the deceased, from Selangor, was attached to the commercial crime department.
Police have classified the case as sudden death but Din said a probe will be carried out.
