Pakatan Harapan has received more than 130 proposals for its new logo in just three days.
This followed the coalition’s invitation for public submissions on Thursday after internally-made logos were ridiculed for their unappealing designs.
“On behalf of the big Pakatan Harapan family, we would like to express thanks to all graphic designers, visual artists and anyone who has spent time to design the Harapan logo.
“The large numbers of proposals signifies the people’s moral support and interest in the image, development and direction of Pakatan Harapan as a political coalition going into the 14th general election,” the coalition said in a statement today.
On Wednesday, Harapan received brickbats after the coalition’s three shortlisted logos were put online by PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli.
Rafizi later said they were not designed by him but that he had put them online so that the Harapan presidential council can gauge public reaction to the logos.
PKR, DAP, Parti Amanah Negara and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia are planning to formally register Harapan as a coalition with the goal of contesting under a single banner in the 14th general election.
If the registration is approved, the designed logo is expected to appear on the ballot paper for Harapan candidates.
