A newly-formed Malay-Muslim coalition today announced its plans to challenge the process of granting citizenship to about 1.75 million Malaysians who received the status between 1957 and 1970.
Barisan Bertindak Melayu Islam (Bertindak) spokesperson Mohd Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz said this was on grounds that the process had allegedly violated the stipulated terms under the Federal Constitution.
