PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah believes PAS is in a better state to face the general election compared to other parties.
Using medical analogy, the Kelantan deputy menteri besar said other parties are still in throes of illness while PAS has recovered from its fever.
"Umno has split, leading to the formation of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia so now Umno is suffering from a fever.
"PKR has also split into two - some people say the attacks by (PKR vice president) Rafizi Ramli is not against PAS but against to undermine the ties between PAS and PKR so that the PAS-leaning faction can be booted out," he said in his speech while officiating the Selangor PAS Muslimat wing annual general assembly last weekend.
Rafizi had before signed a statutory declaration claiming he has evidence that former PAS deputy president Nasharuddin Mat Isa received funds linked to former 1MDB subsidiary SRC International Bhd. Nasharuddin denies this.
Mohd Amar said Rafizi is in fact practicising what the Malay proverb describes as "hitting the son to insult the daughter-in-law".
"The purpose is this, there is friction within PKR but we don't see it clearly because they only argue in the kitchen and not on the lawn.
"So we don't see anything but occasionally we hear the sound of plates breaking and the broken plates are slowly taken out using the kitchen door. No one will realise except the garbage collector," he quipped...
