Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) deputy president Salahuddin Ayub is of the opinion that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak will resign before the 14th general election.

His prediction comes in response to the appointment of Najib’s cousin Hishammuddin Hussein as special functions minister.

Stating that he was “not at all surprised” with the appointment, Salahuddin believes that the security of the prime minister’s family will be among Najib’s top priorities after his resignation.
